Yore, Mark | Army ROTC | SIU

After commissioning in May of 2007 I reported to Fort Knox, Kentucky to serve as a rappel instructor at the Leaders Training Course (LTC) for ROTC cadets. Following this assignment I completed BOLC II at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and BOLC III (Transportation Corps) at Fort Eustis, Virginia. My first permanent assignment was at FT SILL Oklahoma where I served as a distribution platoon leader and the company XO of the 571st Forward Support Company (FSC), and the Battalion S4 for the 1-17th Field Artillery Regiment. I deployed to Afghanistan with 1-17 FAR from 2010-2011 serving as the BN S4. Once redeployed I attending the Combined Logistics Course (CLC3) at Fort Lee, Virginia. I am currently serving as the Battalion S3 for the 835th Transportation Battalion in Okinawa, Japan.
